International Dyslexia Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to increase public awareness of dyslexia and to promote effective teaching approaches and related clinical educational intervention strategies for struggling readers. The organization is a resource and support system for parents, educators, and people who are dyslexic. Many of its members are actively involved in the diagnosis and remediation of dyslexia. Members include educators, psychologists, physicians, individuals with dyslexia, and parents who have dealt with learning disability issues within local public and private schools. We facilitate the exploration of the causes and early identification of dyslexia and are committed to the responsible and wide dissemination of research-based knowledge that informs teaching methodologies.

Dyslexia Dash 2022 – Registration Now Open!

IDA Austin has joined the Georgia Branch Dyslexia Dash. Please join IDA Austin’s team and run the RACE VIRTUALLY! For those choosing the virtual race, participants will run their own course and can post their times.  As soon as you register you can run the race. The Dyslexia Dash website will be open to receiving posting times on October 2, 2022 and will remain open until October 22, 2022. Participants will have the option to post their times via the Dyslexia Dash website, using text message or sending an email.  Virtual race participants will receive their race t-shirt through the mail during the week of October 23. 

Proceeds raised by Dyslexia Dash will be used to fund a 2023 conference dedicated to parents and youth and will provide scholarships for students in need of Dyslexia therapy services.

**BEFORE YOU REGISTER – Be sure to select the IDA Austin team. Anyone registering for the 5K race under our team gets an automatic $5 discount. You will receive a confirmation from IDA Austin when you register!**
